Glossary operations are overseen by the Glossary Chief Editor (appointed by the Publications Commission and approved by Council for a 3-year term) and the Assistant Chief Editor of the GoM (the STAC Commissioner), with editorial support from members of the AMS Publications staff.

Proposed changes and additions to the Glossary are submitted online. The Chief Editor evaluates proposed changes and additions, and selects a review team from the appropriate STAC Boards/committees, as well as other experts as needed. The Chief Editor may request additional review as needed. Once new terms and/or changes are vetted, the Chief Editor gives final approval for them to be published online.
